Caregivers show up every day, often without a pause. Grow, Gather, Give is a free afternoon created to say thank you. Join Open Chair Learning for two hours of connection, learning, and gratitude, with caregivers and children welcome side by side.
Gather.
Meet other caregivers over fresh drip coffee, share a conversation, and settle in. Every caregiver who attends receives a goodie bag filled with items from local businesses.
Grow.
Children and families can explore hands-on, inclusive activities, including planting a seed to take home, making paper flowers, and exploring a sensory station. A quiet corner is available for anyone who needs a break. Caregivers can take part in relaxed conversation circles and browse resources from local partners.
Give.
Families will make thank-you cards and add to a shared gratitude display. At the end of the afternoon, we’ll draw winners for free raffle prizes donated by local businesses. Every caregiver who attends gets an entry.
Open Chair Learning is a Virginia nonprofit that offers accessible, inclusive, person-centered education and enrichment for children and caregivers. Everyone has a place at our table, and there is always an open chair.
