Open Chair Learning provides accessible, inclusive, person-centered education and enrichment for children and caregivers underserved by traditional systems. No diagnosis required. No child turned away for not fitting the mold.

Our mission

We build the other way around.

Most programs are built for the child in the middle of the bell curve, then patched, sometimes, for everyone else.

We start with the kids who get left out first, and design outward from there. Every program supports the child and the people caring for them.

Social-emotional learning, built for how kids actually learn.

Roots & Wings is our core curriculum: four modes of learning: play, storytelling, sensory art and collaborative games all across five competency cycles, with a caregiver track running alongside every child session.

A note from the founder

I'm the mother of two kids who've each taught me a different half of the same lesson. Mai-Ly showed me what it looks like when a child needs to be taught differently. Brice showed me what it looks like when a child needs everything approached differently. Open Chair Learning is what I built so no family has to explain that gap alone.
